The 5th Mega programme at Anakaputhur, Chennai synchronised with the first Anniversary of LHVSMP Samithi that was slated for 1st May 2011. It was proposed to have HariVayStuthi parayana with 300 persons. As we always see and experience, it is one we propose and God disposes.There were 200+ persons for the parayana and totally 350 madhwas present including ladies.
As usual, a volunteers meeting was convened on the 29th April 2011 at Dr. Raghu’s residence to discuss about the conduct of the function. The programme agenda was discussed, as done in the past it was decided to take two vans one from Triplicane at 5:00 AM with volunteers to Anakaputhur and the another one from Madipakkam at 5:00 AM and the same was to come back and leave Madipakkam again at 6:00 AM with members for the parayana. It was also decided to leave both the vans at Panchayat office, Pozichalur to shuttle the members to the venue. This carried on till 9:00 AM. Arrangements commenced as early as March 2011 at the venue to conduct the first Anniversary. Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Anakaputhur contacted the samithi for a programme for the 8th may 2011 for parayana with 108 members. Dr Raghu and few other met Mr. A G Srinivasa Rao and decided to have the parayana on the 1st May 2011 itself. The Mutt authorities graciously accepted this date with parayana members and 300 pamphlets were distributed by the mutt. Till the previous day of the event, 180 members had registered. At 7:00 AM, 75 registered devotees for present and people thronged to the mutt between 7 to 8:30 AM.
Sankalpa commenced sharp at 8:15 AM. Two avarthis of Parayana and one avarthi of puracharana was chanted, thank god there was no power cut. Shri Nagaraja Sharma, Kanchi Varadachar, Raghupathi Achar were the spl. guests who joined the parayana.
The programme concluded at 11:30 AM and few minutes of speech was delivered by Srinivasa Rao, Manager SRS Mutt, Anakapathur. The Hasthodakha to Sri Rayaru was performed and theetha prasada was served to almost to all the 350 persons in one batch.
The programme could not have been executed, if we do not mention the participation from volunteers part who had come to the venue at 5:00 AM itself. The samithi thanks all the volunteers and devotees who participated in this grand congregation.
A brochure was distributed depicting the work the Samithi had carried out for the past one year and its objectives ahead.
